Update July 11, 2009

Hi everyone,

I am in a holding pattern myself on complaints against RJBA. I was sent a response from the New Hampshire AG after the NH AG received a reply to my complaints against RJBA. Basically RJBA presented a case to the AG that I was just trying to get out of my contract with them and had been trying to for sometime. Interesting take on the situation because RJBA has only been in charge of the support dispersement (technically) since June 2009. The payments that RJBA took a percentage of in May they were not licensed to do so in the state of Texas. This brings up many questions as well.
We need to keep on and support each other as we can. I am going to post the address for the NH AG's office to file your complaints.

Can you publish what RJBA sent? Also, I thought that RJBA was licensed in Texas? Are they no longer?

Hi Karen,

RJBA is licensed to collect support as of June in Texas.(not that I believe that SK had the right to transfer any such right) They were not licensed to take the May support payment nor are they licensed to serve as a lawyer/client representation.
RJBA information is posted in the June blog posts. You should find all you need in the post archives. Let me know if there is anything else that I can do to help.

Hi. I have been going through a very tough time with this Support Kids/RJB & Ass people, as they have been receiving the child support for my youngest daughter, for which I never had any contract with Support Kids for, and have not sent the checks to me. Because of the same frustration shared by many parents when calling their 1-866 number,I did some research over the Internet and I found one that by-passes the toll free one. The number is 603-890-1644, and I have spoken to a Mr. Keith Raye. I have signed the petition, but I am also in the process of contacting an attorney and go against this company for taking money that has nothing to do with Support Kids. Anything I continue to find, I will gladly share with you so that we can take action against this people.

Hi Sandra,

Thanks for your comment and information. Any information is considered useful and I welcome any suggestions. I have been fighting SK for over 2 years to end a contract that they said was dead. By all definitions of the termination of contract, I was terminated. But when I found out my ex husband has assets that SK had blatantly over looked because they never did anything ( I did all the work) I was suddenly hit with an attorney that SK said was going to help me. I wanted to pay for my own attorney but agreed to speak with him. He assured me that his work would be for me and his fee would be paid by my ex husband which I found weird. I asked him point blank about my support going through the county and he told me that is exactly what would happen. Well it did not. Not only did my ex pay his fee but when the court order was filed, the payments were to be sent to me and SK somehow ended up with the ability to take 34% of my court ordered support. They have gotten away with this for way too long so I will continue to fight for justice.

I am also experiencing problems with sk/rjba so called contract. Not sure where to start but... I did sign the contract with supportkids, they collected their fees (of course) then nothing till now -exactly one year this month. It stated on my State dcs website that 339.00 had been direct deposited to a bank in Texas. How can RJBA collect this money when I have not recieved any information that they were doing so.We called the number (thanks Terri), and they said they had it and would be mailing out. 2 weeks ago!
My biggest concern is IF we get this check and cash it does that bind us to RJBA?
In the mean time we have sent notice of change of address and changed of direct deposit to our personal account. I also have sent out the R-POA. I guess it might be a long process.
